This scholarship was established by Jean "Polivka" Kosmatka (a Williston High School graduate) and her husband Kent Kosmatka. They set up this endowment with the Coyote Foundation to create interest in the nursing field. With this large scholarship, their hope is to get high school students to enter the field in which they are working.
As an added bonus, this scholarship is renewable for a second year as long as the recipient stays in a college nursing program.
