Nelson/Freeman Memorial Scholarship

The Nelson/Freeman Scholarship comes from the three Nelsons---Vera, Jesse and Bud. The owned and ran Treasure Island Gift Store in downtown Williston. Jesse was married at one time. The three Nelsons had no children so when they died there were no heirs. The estate went to a nephew and 2 nieces in Washington state. The nephew become the executor of the estate. He gave the Coyote Foundation money for scholarships in memory of Vera, Jess and Bud.
