Dr. Victoria Arneson Resilient Student Scholarship

This scholarship was created by Dr. Victoria Arneson, a 2001 graduate of Williston High School. Vic graduated from Williston State College with her Associate of Arts (2005), Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Western Governor’s University (2010), Master’s in Mathematics from WGU (2013) and her Doctorate Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University (2019). Dr. Arneson is also a full-time teacher at St. Joe’s Elementary, a local tutor and owns Arneson Consulting and Educational Services, LLC.This scholarship was created for students who have struggled in life and are determined to continue and succeed in education. Dr. Arneson spent her high school senior year at age 17 working to pay rent and struggling to have enough funds to buy groceries. Dr. Arneson has overcome many adversities that include poverty, domestic violence, chronic illness, and bullying. She believes students can overcome any obstacle with a helping hand and someone who cares.This scholarship was started in 2019 to honor her grandmother Beverlee Hundley, who always encouraged Dr. Arneson to get an education and keep pushing forward. Her grandmother passed in February of 2023 and Vic dedicates her passion for education to her grandmother.
