Dr. Jerry Olson Memorial Scholarship

Ted and his wife, Lois Schmitz. Two smiling, older Caucasian people. Both have white hair and thin, wire-frame glasses. The man is in a white shirt and the woman in a light blue jacket.

Dr. Olson was a 1952 graduate of Williston High School. He went on to college and then medical school and volunteered for the draft, serving his country during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Eventually, he and his wife JoAnn returned to Williston to make a home for their family and for Jerry to practice medicine with the Williston Medical Clinic, which is now known as Trinity Western Dakota Clinic.

Jerry’s family created this scholarship in memory of him for a student pursuing a degree in the field of medicine.
