Cody Wentz Memorial Football Scholarship

Ted and his wife, Lois Schmitz. Two smiling, older Caucasian people. Both have white hair and thin, wire-frame glasses. The man is in a white shirt and the woman in a light blue jacket.

Cody was a great football player for the Williston Coyotes.  He really liked playing football and his goal was to play in college and maybe the NFL for the Detroit Lions.  Unfortunately, on November 4, 2004, he was killed in the war in Iraq.  He graduated from Williston High School in 2001 and was only 21 when he died.

His parents established this scholarship in his memory.  They asked that it be given to a Coyote football player to help with college expenses.

Scholarship amount: $500
