Bobby Erickson Memorial Scholarship

Bobby Erickson Memorial Scholarship

Bob Erickson was raised in Williston and was a WHS graduate of the class of 1976. Throughout his high school career, he was a member of the Coyote football, wrestling, and baseball teams. He attributed his completion of his high school diploma to his athletic involvement and the teachers and coaches who believed in him.

Bobby went on to establish his business, Basin Concrete, in Williston. He successfully ran Basin for 4 decades, serving the Williston Basin area and providing jobs for countless employees throughout the years. He was always ready for a challenge and was a true believer in hard work and integrity.

He was most proud of his family. Bobby and his wife, Cleo, raised their three daughters in Williston. Kristi, Mandy, and Lindsey all graduated from Williston High School in their dad’s footsteps. Currently, Bobby has two grandchildren in the Williston Public School District with four more grandchildren on the way to be Coyotes in the near future. Bobby was proud of his legacy and community that helped raise him.

Bobby enjoyed many years of officiating football and hockey and loved working with the youth at the high school level. He had many stories about how much fun he had with his officiating crews and the young athletes he was able to meet through his involvement.

Bobby made everything better. He gave back to Williston in any way he could, and he loved the town he called home. This scholarship is another wonderful opportunity for Bobby and his family to give back to the community, and to make it better.
